In 1971, Marguerite Hart, a children’s librarian in Troy, Michigan, wrote to dozens of public figures and asked them to send in a few inspirational words on the opening of Troy’s first public library.
She received 97 responses, including the above from one of the wisest men who has ever lived. Cheers to Theodor Geisel on his would-have-been 108th birthday.
