Limericks: stifling eccentricities since 1898…
There was a young lady of Wheeling,
Who had a peculiar feeling
That she was a fly,
And wanted to try
To walk upside down on the ceiling.

There was an old man of Blackheath,
Who sat on his set of false teeth;
Said he, with a start,
”O Lord, bless my heart!
I’ve bitten myself underneath!”
